Your First Appointment

Your first appointment is an opportunity to talk about your concerns, experiences, mental health history, and current needs.

Your provider will take time to understand your situation and discuss appropriate next steps for your care.

Depending on your needs, your first visit may include:

  • Discussion of your current concerns and symptoms
  • Review of current or previous treatment
  • Discussion of medications, when applicable
  • Questions about your goals and care needs
  • Development of an appropriate care plan

Your provider will also give you an opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.

To make your first appointment as smooth as possible, please have the following information available when applicable:

  • Current medication list
  • Relevant medical or mental health records
  • Information about previous treatment
  • Any questions or concerns you would like to discuss

If you are completing new-patient paperwork, please complete the required forms before your appointment when possible.
