We can provide you with primary care visits for your annual physicals or for acute illnesses when you need to see a medical professional for a new illness or symptom. During primary care or well visits from your home, you can expect to have the same spa-like treatment. We will have a discussion about your current medical conditions, medications, and if you have concerns about your health. We will listen to your concerns and then make recommendations for diagnostic testing or a referral to see a physician or specialist. Based on your age or symptoms, we may request additional testing outside of a wellness visit or send you to a laboratory or a specialist with a referral. These referred follow-up tests may include (but are not limited to):

• Blood tests
• Bone density testing
• Imaging (x-rays/ultrasounds/CT scan/ MRI)
• Mammograms
• Sexually transmitted disease testing
• Immunizations or vaccines
• Urinalysis

Your family nurse practitioner may also refer you to other specialists in the area if you are experiencing symptoms or health complications.

Your preventive care can keep you on the right track to living a healthy life. Our nurse practitioners can discuss your risk factors for life-threatening medical issues. You may need to have lab orders for specific blood tests to diagnose and/or manage conditions such as but not limited to:

• Diabetes
• Obesity
• Hypertension
• High cholesterol

Having blood work and other tests performed can also give you a baseline to look back on after you start a treatment routine and/or make lifestyle changes. We can give you added support when you need it to manage your medical conditions. Even if you have a medical situation that cannot be prevented, our family nurse practitioners can be there for you to handle some of the aspects of the condition.
